James Milner has revealed what happened when Lionel Messi called him “burro”, after he had fouled him during Barcelona vs Liverpool first leg semi-final Champions League game, last season. The game ended with Barcelona's 3-0 win, however the La Liga side lost the second leg with a 4-0 score and were eliminated from the tournament as the Reds reached the final and eventually became the Champions League winners. Speaking with The Guardian, Milner said: “I just smiled and went back to the dressing room. We weren’t in the best position then. But Messi’s incredible. "I’m lucky to have played against him and Ronaldo because the numbers they put up every year are ridiculous.”
