James Milner explains how the defenders should play against Lionel Messi

Liverpool star James Milner has highlighted Lionel Messi's quality has been on the pitch when he bagged a brace in a 3-0 Champions League win over the Reds in May. The Reds went on to win the semi-final tie, but Milner is in no doubt about Messi's quality and ability to "make you look stupid." He said on BT Sport: "The first game wasn't a fair reflection of the game, but you know, football isn't fair at times. And when you've got that guy (Messi) on the team it is very hard to run as fast as you can with your legs closed as I've found out. He can make you look stupid. "The free-kick he scored, the player he is means it is always going to be tough."
