Jack Wilshere aims dig at Spurs after the Gunners defeat to West Ham

Jack Wilshere took aim at Tottenham over their lack of trophies when discussing the Gunners' current situation after Arsenal’s defeat to West Ham. Arsenal lost their fifth game of the season at West Ham thanks to Declan Rice's second-half strike at the London Stadium. And former Gunners midfielder Wilshere believes Unai Emery has plenty of work to do to make the club contenders once more but questioned fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp's comments on Spurs and their achievements without having to spend. "It will be difficult for the fans to accept because we've been so successful," Wilshere said on Sky Sports after the game. "Before me but as well we won two FA Cups, three FA Cups and Jamie talks about Tottenham being so good and not spending but Tottenham haven't won anything either. "So with Arsenal and the fans it's difficult because everyone knows how Arsene [Wenger] left and how some fans felt about him. "They wanted change, they wanted it to happen straight away but it doesn't work like that in football. "There are such small margins and if you buy the right player, you get the wrong player in and that can really affect a season. "It's a top-four finish and a cup run, hopefully win a cup, will be a good season for Arsenal."
