Dharmesh Sheth says that James Maddison is now “too expensive” for Arsenal.
Leicester City man has been heavily linked with the move to the Emirates Stadium for the summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta’s side being eager to sign an attacking-minded midfielder for the squad.
“We know they are looking for an attacking midfielder,” Sheth told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports.
“There has been an interest in James Maddison.
“It looks like that will be a bit too expensive to do. Leicester City are under no pressure to sell.
“They still have a number of years left on his contract. He started the Community Shield against Man City.
“Brendan Rodgers has compared him to, quite subtly, to Jack Grealish. Is that his way of putting it out there ‘this is how much James Maddison is worth if Grealish is £100 million’?”
