Paul Merson has backed Manchester City to celebrate another win in the Premier League against Crystal Palace at the weekend. The Citizens are currently in 3rd place in the league table two points behind the leaders Chelsea following their 4 - 1 win over Brighton last week. Pep Guardiola’s side are set to face their next opponents, the Eagles, this Saturday.They will be hoping to have a successful game after midweek's Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham. “Manchester City will be reeling after crashing out of the Carabao Cup this week. It won’t be the same watching the competition without them,” Merson said ahead of the upcoming match (via Metro UK). "This will be a hard game for Pep Guardiola, but I still think Manchester City have enough quality and depth to win this match. "I’ve loved watching Crystal Palace this season. They certainly have a go at their opponents and while this isn’t a bread-and-butter game for them, I think they’ll still cause the home side a few problems. 'Manchester City have plenty of class all over the pitch, however, and should be able to secure a victory."
