Injury update on Warriors star DeMarcus Cousins

Golden State Warriors not only blew 31-point lead as they lost 131-135 to Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA playoffs round 1 game 2 but also were hit with an injury blow as few minutes into game and DeMarcus Cousins suffered a quad injury when he dove for a loose ball. On Tuesday, afternoon, the Warriors officially announced that Cousins had suffered a torn quad and offered an update. https://twitter.com/WarriorsPR/status/1118237190746546176 After the team practiced on Wednesday, team coach Steve Kerr revealed that Cousins is set to be out of action for couple of months. "He will not need surgery," Kerr said. "DeMarcus, most likely, will not be back during the playoffs. You're probably looking at a couple months' recovery, so it's unlikely. "But [Warriors director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini] told me that there are occasions where that injury heals faster. So we're leaving the door open, obviously."
