Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu Gaspar are doing an "incredible" job to secure the signing of Declan Rice.
Despite facing competition from Manchester City, the Gunners have made their third offer after two previous bids were rejected. Rice's contract with West Ham is set to expire in one year, although the club have the option to extend it for an additional year, which has contributed to the increased price.
While providing an update on Arsenal's pursuit of Rice, Romano shared his high praise for Arteta and Edu in navigating the challenging negotiations, and it appears that the deal may be reaching its final stages.
“Arteta, pushing as he never did before to insist on Arsenal plans for Declan to be star signing, one of the faces of club’s long term project," the journalist wrote.
