Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has opened up Nuno Espirito Santo’s start to life at Tottenham following the club’s latest loss in the Premier League.
Spurs were defeated by Chelsea with a score of 3 – 0 last weekend, which saw the club sinking from the top to the seventh place of the league table.
The latest results have raised the criticism over Nuno, with some of the fans already talking about his possible sacking.
“I just feel he needs a little bit of time, but I’m just worried whether the time is there for him. Because we know the background, we know the fans, most of them didn’t really want him as the manager in the first place,” Gold said on the latest episode of the Gold and Guest talk Tottenham podcast.
“I think he raised expectations with those early wins, you know, beating Manchester City and all that, whatever we’re now rewriting those games to be.”
