Illan Meslier provides update on his future at Leeds United

Leeds United are set to seal a permanent deal for 20-year-old goalkeeper Illan Meslier. The young goalkeeper joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy from Lorient in August 2019. Meslier has made overall 10 appearances during this season in which he has kept 6 clean sheets and conceded 5 goals. Previously Daily Mirror has reported that when Leeds United seal Premier League promotion, £6million buy-out clause of the goalkeeper would be activated. Speaking to Ouest France, Meslier said: "I will sign Thursday for three years with Leeds, it's a great story. "In Lorient, I was goalkeeper number two in August 2019, I had to make a choice. "I always believed in it, I had the opportunity to show myself in Leeds and it paid off." source - Express
