Jose Enrique thinks that Manchester City should try to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane as Sergio Aguero’s long-term replacement. Despite injuries, Kane has still been one of the best Premier League top marksman in recent years.
Aguero is coming towards the end of his career, with the Premier League legend playing ahead of Gabriel Jesus in the Etihad pecking order. Depending on City’s situation with Champions League football next season, Enrique said that ‘I would do it’ in regards to signing Kane, who he described as ‘top-level’.
“Gabriel Jesus is a really good player,” Enrique told Stadium Astro. “I really like him. I believe he is completely different from Sergio Aguero. But if they [Man City] should go for someone, maybe of a top-level like Harry Kane. Someone like that. I would do it if I was [Man City]. But again, it’s going to be a very difficult transfer window for everyone.”
