Ibrahima Konate makes Gini Wijnaldum claim after receiving his No 5 shirt at Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate has talked about wearing No 5 shirt at Liverpool after Gini Wijnaldum. Couple of weeks ago the Reds announced their new centre-back signing in the name of Konate and also said goodbye to Gini Wijnaldum, who left for PSG. And now the Liverpool newcomer is set to wear Wijnaldum's iconic number at Anfield. Speaking exclusively to Liverpoolfc.com, Konate explained there is some ‘pressure’ with wearing the number – but it’ll help him improve.

“I think it’s an important number for this club. A great player had this number before me,” he said.   “I have not pressure but a little bit of pressure because I have to improve for the future. I hope I will do great things with this number.”
