Ian Wright explains why it would be ’embarrassing’ if Manchester City signed England star

Ian Wright thinks Manchester City re-signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund would be "embarrassing" for the Premier League leaders. Sancho left City four years ago as he felt a move to Dortmund would benefit his chances of first-team football. The winger has 18 caps for England, having scored 46 goals and created 60 more in assists during his time in Germany. “He wouldn’t go back to City, would he?” Wright said. “It might be embarrassing for City, simply because they would have to pay so much money to get him back. Where would he play at City? It is a settled side. They don’t really need him.” City probably don’t need him – even if he has had a hand in 29 goals this season, scoring 12 times and creating 17 more in his 37 games.
