England international James Maddison has expressed a desire for a specific Arsenal player to be part of the Tottenham squad.
Maddison, a notable performer for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, joined from Leicester City in the summer. Despite Spurs facing challenges with injuries and a recent dip in form, the team secured a 3-3 draw against Manchester City.
While acknowledging Spurs' strong start under Postecoglou, Maddison revealed in a conversation with former goalkeeper Ben Foster that he envies a key player at Arsenal. He expressed admiration for Declan Rice, emphasizing the midfielder's comprehensive qualities in the modern game.
“He’s got everything. He’s technically really good," the Spurs' midfielder said, via Sportbible. "He is a joke when it comes to low-cut passes. I think he’s a top, top player, I hate that he plays for Arsenal.”
Rice has played a crucial role in Arsenal's successful season, helping them lead the Premier League table with a two-point advantage over Liverpool. The 24-year-old has contributed with two goals and one assist while starting in every game for his new club.
