Graeme Souness has revealed he feels "sorry" for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and agreed that he has become a forgotten man at Liverpool.
The 27-year-old was out of action due to a number of injuries but returned to the Reds squad for the club's Premier League draw with Fulham at the weekend.
“Yes, I feel for him,” Souness told on Oxlade-Chamberlain being forgotten man.
“I am a fan of his.
“I felt they needed something different in midfield. Somebody who could drop a shoulder. Dribble past people as to a Wijnaldum and a Jordan Henderson, who are fabulous in their own right. And he gives them something different.
“It’s just been a series of injuries for him. I feel sorry for him because he is a real talent.”
