"I expect it'll happen": Journalist says Tottenham player will sign new contract in major boost

Jack Pitt Brooke has revealed he still expects Heung-Min Son to sign a new contract at Tottenham. There have been discussions over the new contract, however, it is yet to materialize. That has led to concerns that Son's future at the North London club may be doubtful. However, according to Pitt-Brooke, the South Korean will sign a new long-term contract sooner rather than later. “I still think that will happen [Son signing a new deal]. Even though it hasn’t happened yet. I did a story in October saying the deal was very close," he said on the Ornstein and Chapman podcast. “Obviously it has been held up for months and months and months. “I expect it’ll happen and I can’t see Tottenham selling him.”
