"I don't know": President in the dark about reported Tottenham target

Sevilla president Jose Castro has admitted he is unsure what the future holds for star defender Diego Carlos. Carlos has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur. Last summer, Sevilla paid £13 million to bring Carlos to the Estadio Jose Alvalade after a fine season at Nantes. 12 months later, the Brazilian battler is now valued at closer to £70 million. Sevilla look set to make another huge profit on a key player. Goal reveals that two as-yet-unnamed English clubs have lodged bids for the 27-year-old. “I do not know what is going to happen in the market,” Castro says when asked about whether Carlos will leave after a single season in Spain. "It seems that it will be a rare, atypical (market).” It seems that Castro is uncertain about whether even the likes of Manchester City or Liverpool would be willing to meet Sevilla’s rather hefty asking price for Carlos. The Telegraph reported last month that Jose Mourinho has identified the commanding Carlos as the perfect addition to his Tottenham back line. Source: HITC
