Hugo Lloris sends message to Tanguy Ndombele on what he must do at Tottenham

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris knows exactly what Tanguy Ndombele has in his locker and has called on him to assume more responsibility both on the pitch and in the dressing room. Ndombele has not involved for Spurs throughout pre-season or the first month of the campaign with his future up in the air, however, in the end he remained at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has since come back into Nuno Espirito Samto's plans. The 24-year-old's start in Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Arsenal was his fourth successive start in ten days and he could well remain in the team on Thursday in the Europa Conference League if Espirito Santo opts to field a full-strength side. In an interview with Evening Standard, Lloris said:
“Tanguy needs games, games, games, repetition of games.   “[He needs to] try to feel this responsibility because he’s not a young player anymore. And a player with his talent and quality must feel responsibility inside the changing room and the team.   “Honestly, I think he’s ready, his mind is ready. He’s here with a smile, he’s connected with the team and that’s the most important thing.   "Obviously, it’s the manager’s decision to play him or not play him, but I can feel his energy is back. And, for sure, he’s going to perform. I have no doubt about that.   “With Tanguy, the first season, because of the language, it was sometimes frustrating with him to not be able to talk with the others.   "Today, he’s totally open and he can talk and joke and share moments. That’s very important as a player, to feel connected to the team.”
