Hugo Lloris makes confident claim ahead of Manchester United clash, despite West Ham defeat

Hugo Lloris is confident his Tottenham teammates are working hard for this weekend's match with Manchester United. Despite yesterday's defeat to West Ham, the Spurs captain remains convinced that the players are doing their best for the upcoming clash.

“We know that there are a lot of expectations, same as every season, on our shoulders and the players have a responsibility to do their best,” said the Frenchman.   “And when I see all the players I think they are trying to do their best.   “But sometimes it does not work but that is not the moment to give up. We need to carry on with a good energy and positiveness.   “We cannot give up - there are many games ahead of us and we are going to try to improve individually and collectively.   “Clearly we need to keep working, keep fighting. There is no big difference between the teams for the European places.   “Consistency is the key. When you face a direct opponent you have to take the points or at least, as I say, not lose. It is painful and we need to move on.”
