Chelsea midfielder Willian has opened the door to a summer move to Tottenham, expressing his belief that “it would be fine to move to a rival club”.
Quizzed on the ongoing speculation surrounding his future by Youtube channel Desimpedidos, Willian responded: “It really is a hard decision. I identified myself a lot at Chelsea, I have a lot of love for everyone at the club, and the fans. However, it is like I said before, if I leave Chelsea with no trouble and leaving the doors open, it would be fine to move to a rival club.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham could sign Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic. Mundo Deportivo report that the Croatian midfielder could be on his way over the coming months with his contract at the Nou Camp set to expire at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Jose Mourinho currently has several midfield options available to him but the potential addition of Raktic would give his side a bit more quality.
Here is how Tottenham could line-up with Willian and Ivan Rakitic.
The two players could be fit for the 4-2-3-1 formation under Jose Mourinho.
Ivan Rakitic could pair up a good partnership with Giovanni Lo Celso, while Willian could find his place in the right-wing.
