Tottenham Hotspur have been knocked out of all competitions except the Premier League. They are sitting on the 8th place of the league table, struggling to get their place in the top four.

The summer transfer window is going to be a vital one for the Spurs, with the boss Jose Mourinho keen on improving the squad. Yet, there are a number of players expected to leave the team. Jan Vertonghen’s contract expires this summer. Another Spurs player Juan Foyth has found his playing time limited under Mourinho, having had injury problems as well. Both are likely to leave the club.

But who will join the team during the upcoming transfer window to form Mourinho’s new squad?

Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren is among the players that have been linked with the move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer. According to reports, the club wants to sign the £18million man, who has made just 9 Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side this term.

Let’s see where would Lovren fit in if joining the Spurs.

Serge Aurier will fill the back-line, with Ben Davies or Ryan Sessegnon playing in the left-back.

Toby Alderweireld will play at centre-back along with Japhet Tanganga or Davinson Sanchez.

What concerns Lovren, he will not be in the starting lineup at least, because he’s not as good as Alderweireld, Tanganga or Sanchez.
