On this day in 2018, Manchester United and Arsenal stunned the football world by swapping Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Alexis Sanchez.
Alexis Sanchez has failed to provide successful performances for the Red Devils, has suffered injuries and has been left out from the squad under Jose Mourinho. Moreover, Manchester United fans are not happy with Sanchez.
The Chilean has also been linked with a move away from the Old Trafford. He has been linked with
Valencia, Atletico Madrid and even to return to
Arsenal in a swap deal with Mesut Ozil.
However, Sanchez remains at Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been more successful in Arsenal. The player has been an important part of the Gunners squad and has not caused many problems for Arsenal if we do not pay attention to missed chances. Mkhitaryan has scored more goals for Arsenal than he managed for Manchester United.
The Armenia International has been linked with a move away from Arsenal only in recent weeks, as the player suffered an injury which left him out from the squad for a month. There have been rumours, that Mkhitaryan is on the radar of
