On July 14 the World Cup 2018 opening ceremony has been staged at Luzhniki stadium.
Around 500 performers and gymnasts performed in an extravagant show dedicated to Russian culture and traditions.
The opening ceremony took place some 30 minutes prior to the match between the Russia and Saudi Arabia men’s national football teams in the 80,000-seaster Luzhniki Stadium.
However, it was not only the show that attracted millions of football fans. In Twitter many of them confused Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan with a juggler performing at the ceremony. Henrikh is currently in Moscow
and has lately given an interview with football star Xavi. That’s why many fans decided it was Henrikh on the stage.
