Fans fear Henrikh Mkhitaryan closer to Arsenal exit door than ever after display against Watford

Arsenal head to a 1-0 win over Watford to move back into the Premier League top four on Monday. The Gunners were relegated to sixth in the table as a result of results elsewhere over the weekend and the pressure was on but they responded with vital three points. While the Gunners result exactly proved what was required, the performance of Unai Emery’s men left a lot to be desired, including Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian struggled to make any sort of positive impact on proceedings. In addition he left his shooting boot at home, with a number of wayward strikes on the part of the 30-year-old, particularly during the second-half, having left the Gunners’ faithful utterly bemused. Lately the Armenian’s future has been put in doubt. Ahead of summer transfer window head coach  Unai Emery has his eye on a new left back, centre midfielder, attacking midfielder and central defender and could sign players only if they sell the highest earners such as Mkhitaryan with £180,000-a-week salary. And such poor performances might play a major role in Armenian's future and entirely change his next destination. Mkhitaryan joined the Gunners from Manchester United in January 2018, as part of the deal that saw Alexis Sanchez head in the opposite direction, and he has gone on to rack up nine goals and 12 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the north London Outfit. Some Arsenal fans took to Twitter after last night's win, and berated Mkhitaryan for his performance against Watford... https://twitter.com/EnglishGooner46/status/1117891907613446144 https://twitter.com/Gazwthegooner/status/1117878774454833152 https://twitter.com/Samsports094/status/1117885260761427970 https://twitter.com/marco_gooner/status/1117884301733793792 https://twitter.com/SkipperAFC/status/1117884974026362885 https://twitter.com/Orangeiceman10/status/1117876161189535744 https://twitter.com/Gazwthegooner/status/1117885010902577152 https://twitter.com/DailyCannon/status/1117884746623672322 https://twitter.com/97johnkennedy/status/1117883763529138177
