"He made it clear": Kane shares what Mourinho has said to five of his Spurs teammates

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has revealed that Jose Mourinho made it clear to the other attacking players at Spurs that they needed to make more driving runs in behind this season. Spurs have been a hugely dangerous attacking force in the Premier League this term. Jose Mourinho’s side scored more than almost every other team in the division. The key reason behind their scoring form has been Kane’s willingness to drop deep and pick out others. “I think he saw in my game that I like to drop deep so he made it clear to the others – like Sonny, Stevie, Bale, Lamela, Lucas, all these players – that if I do drop deep then they need to be the ones running in behind,” Kane revealed. “I think that’s been the real difference. It’s allowed me to create space and get the ball but have an option going forward as well.” Kane’s partnership with Heung-Min Son has been particularly effective, as the pair have linked up for multiple Tottenham goals this season. Kane could be a key player this weekend, when Spurs take on Manchester City.
