Has Paul George underachieved since leaving Pacers? Stephen A. answers the question

Stephen A. Smith believes Paul George has underachieved since leaving Indiana Pacers.  30-year-old George, who has the most seals (1.9 per game) in the league for the past seasons, has played for Oklahoma City Thunder after the Pacers, but failed to go further than play-offs first round.  PG joined the Los Angeles Clippers to form a tandem with Kawhi Leonard this summer. People expect to see Clippers in at least Western Conference finals, but at this point Stephen A. mentions the fact, that George hasn’t got close to what he did back in 2013 with Indiana.  “I believe he has. And that’s a hard thing for me to say, because I love him as a player and a person. I think that he’s definitely a star in this league. But, I would say the same thing about him that I would say about Russell Westbrook. I think Russell Westbrook is a superstar, but ever since Kevin Durant left Oklahoma City, he hasn’t been out of the first round.” he said during ESPN’s First Take “You got Paul George there, you’re out of the first round. Obviously we didn’t anticipate that would be the case for this year’s Los Angeles Clippers.  “Obviously, when he went against LeBron in Miami, he got to the conference finals. He came up short, but there is no shame in coming up short to LeBron. Then he had that nasty injury in summer games and then he came back. You gotta give him a credit for that. But I’m just looking at the guy as a star, two way player as a star and he has never been in an NBA finals. “No shame, that you consider he has been in conference finals. But when I think about the star, that is Paul George, when he played with Russell Westbrook, I did not expect him to go home in the first round.” Stephen A. added.
