Harry Redknapp issues transfer warning to Tottenham

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has claimed that the club should not sign a striker this month and already possess the attacking firepower needed to cope with the loss of Harry Kane. Spurs talisman has been sidelined until April after rupturing a tendon in his left hamstring in the 1-0 defeat against Southampton on New Year’s Day. Jose Mourinho's side are reported to be keen on signing a striker this month to help cope with Kane’s loss and have been linked with a number of forwards including Lyon’s Moussa Dembele , AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek and Southampton’s Danny Ings. However, Redknapp claimed that the likes of Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura can step up just as they did when the 26-year-old was out injured towards the end of last season. Speaking to Sky Sports’ Transfer Show, former Spurs boss said: “I love Harry, what a player. But they got away with it last year (when Kane was out from early April until the end of the season). “(Heung-Min) Son, Lucas Moura, Dele Alli, managed to find a way of playing. They got to the Champions League final. A lot of teams nowadays play without a central striker. “I don’t think I would dive in now and take somebody who, in three months time, is going to have to sit on the bench and will be surplus to requirements.” Source- Spurs-Web
