Harry Kane sends message to England teammates after starting the match on the bench

Harry Kane has taken to Twitter Sunday evening after England’s victory over Belgium in the UEFA Nations League. Reports emerged Saturday night that Kane was set to miss the match at Wembley after it was said that he strained a muscle in training and would not be risked as a precaution. Southgate moved quickly to dismiss speculation that the Spurs marksman was injured and instead revealed that Kane had been suffering from cramp and muscle fatigue which has limited his involvement in training with the Three Lions (Daily Star). Instead of missing out on the match completely, Southgate decided to name his captain on the bench and made an appearance in the 65th minute when he replaced Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin. After the 2-1 victory, Kane posted on Twitter that he was pleased to see his side win consecutive matches and now has his eyes set on a victory against Denmark on Wednesday.
