Harry Kane makes strong anti-racism statement after England players receive racial abuse following EURO 2020 final loss

Harry Kane has issued a passionate anti-racism statement after three England players got racially abused following England's loss to Italy in a penalty shootout in EURO 2020 final. The Three Lions opened the scoring already in the second minute, thanks to Luke Shaw’s goal. However, Leonardo Bonucci equalised the score in the 67th minute. The winner couldn’t be decided both in the main and extra times so the game headed into the penalty shootout. Italy picked up a 3-2 win on penalties and were crowned EURO 2020 champions for the second time in their history. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka missed their penalties, as Gianluigi Donnarumma saved them all and after the game all of the three of them received disgusting racial abuse. Kane, as a captain of England, took to his Twitter to send a strong anti-racism message.
"Three lads who were brilliant all summer had the courage to step up & take a pen when the stakes were high," wrote Kane.   "They deserve support & backing not the vile racist abuse they’ve had since last night. If you abuse anyone on social media you’re not an England fan and we don’t want you."
