Tottenham striker Harry Kane has labelled Arsenal as a “great side” despite the fierce rivalry between the two clubs.
The England captain was released from the Gunners academy a year after signing at eight years old. However, seemingly has no hard feelings for Spurs’ arch-nemesis, admitting they are reaching “a high level.”
Speaking to
Sky Sports, Kane said:
“Before I kind of broke into the team, our history wasn't great against Arsenal in terms of playing against them, obviously finishing above them in the league.
"Yeah, that's kind of changed over the last five, six years now.
"But look, Arsenal are a great side, they have kind of been building over the last couple of years I feel and now they're starting to reach a high level.”
Kane was speaking prior to the postponement of the North London Derby, which was announced on Saturday afternoon and prompted an angry reaction from Spurs fans and pundits.
