Harry Kane hits back at critics after Tottenham's 3-0 win against Leicester City

Harry Kane has hit out at his critics after scoring twice to help Tottenham Hotspur beat Leicester City. Kane's two goals for Tottenham in their 3-1 win against Newcastle United took the England captain past 200 goals in his club career. The forward then followed that up with a first half brace against Leicester. And speaking after the game, Kane was quick to aim his critics and admitted he now feels as good as he has done for four or five years. “Really good. First half especially. We caught them on the counter attack quite a lot and it was really explosive when we won the ball back and took our chances,” he told Sky Sports. “Second half we probably dropped too deep but we got the job done. It was a really good win for us. “Before this game it gave me the chance to rest and recover. I have done work outside of the club as well to feel good. I am feeling as good as I have done for four or five years now. Good to be finishing strong and we know we have one more game now and hopefully we can win and I can score a couple more.” Before continuing on his critics: “There has been a lot of people talking over the last year but if I keep performing for the team and score goals that is all I can do. I do my talking on the pitch and that is what I did today. “I take it as trying to become better. Everyone talks and everyone has got an opinion. But when you are scoring goals every season, 20 plus, that shows what I can do on the pitch. I will keep doing what I do and people can keep talking." The Spurs skipper then concluded:“It is a different style to Mauricio. But we have had a lot of time to get used to it during the period we was off.” “Obviously it was hard for him (Jose Mourinho) to come in during the season and put his stamp on it because we had so many games. But we have been able to do that over the three last games. Three games, three really good wins. So we have to try and finish it off next Sunday.” Source: Football.london
