Harry Kane breaks silence on ankle injury suffered against Manchester City

Harry Kane has spoken out for the first time since suffering a season-ending injury as Tottenham beat Manchester City. Spurs beat City 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final contest but star striker Harry Kane suffered an injury that could force him out for the rest of the season. Kane flew into a challenge on Fabian Delph on the touchline and came off much worse than his opponent, immediately limping from the field and down the tunnel. While he has not confirmed the full extent of the injury yet, Kane took to Twitter to offer a positive message. ‘Gutted to go off injured but every setback is a chance to come back stronger than ever. Big finish from the boys to go on and win! #COYS’ Kane tweeted. https://twitter.com/HKane/status/1115942607279017985 Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had a fear that it could be a serious one for his side’s top scorer. "We have to check in the next few days. It’s so painful but what can we do now? It’s impossible [to change anything] we have to look forward and hope it’s not a big issue. We hope he can recover as soon as possible but it does not look good. It’s a worry for us. We are going to miss him – maybe for the rest of the season. We hope it is not a big issue but there is not to much time to recover. He twisted his ankle so we will see how it reacts in a few hours." Tottenham  play Huddersfield on Saturday in the Premier League before the away leg of the Champions League quarter-final in Manchester the following Wednesday.
