Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has provided an update on Thiago Alcantara as speculations linking him with Liverpool continue.
The Bundesliga side are back in action on Saturday in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg game against Chelsea. Bayern hold 3-0 advantage over the Blues as they celebrated a victory at Stamford Bridge before the season was put on hold due to coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of the game, Bayern boss said via TalkSport: “I can understand when a player thinks about a move.
“Thiago has played for FC Barcelona in Spain and for FC Bayern München in Germany. If he wants to play in the Premier League now, I totally understand.
“But it would be a pity, because Thiago gives us that certain extra.
“That’s why I’d like to keep him for the next few years as a coach, but that’s life. It goes on.”
