Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick thinks Chelsea can “go far” in the UEFA Champions League this season. The Blues are preparing to face Atletico Madrid on February 23, meanwhile, Bayern will face Lazio.
The match against Atletico will be Thomas Tuchel’s first Champions League game as Chelsea manager. Since his appointment as the Blues manager Tuchel has not lost in the Premier League and his side have conceded just one goal.
“Chelsea have massive potential in terms of quality and quantity,” said Flick, in an interview with France Football. “It’s a young team with a lot of talent.
“They can go far in the Champions League this season. Thomas has gained experience at PSG that will benefit him at Chelsea.
“He is ready for this challenge.”
