Hakim Ziyech explains talks with Frank Lampard that convinced him to join Chelsea

Hakim Ziyech has revealed he held talks with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, which convinced him to join the club. Chelsea reached an agreement with Ajax in February to sign Ziyech in a deal worth £33.4million. The 26-year-old will end his four-year task at the Dutch club when the transfer window opens. Ziyech praised Lampard for being a key part in his decision to join the Blues. "Chelsea has a coach who loves attacking and attractive football in Frank Lampard. I feel the same way," Ziyech told Dutch publication Voetbal International. "We had some good talks. Lampard is really calm and presented himself well. We immediately felt a connection, which also convinced me to make this decision." The Morocco international also felt Lampard's approach of using youngsters at Chelsea will "suit him well". "Now, everything feels right," Ziyech said. "Chelsea is a very big and nice club.
