Greg Inglis warns Super League fans over his form

Greg Inglis has warned Super League fans against expecting fireworks from him immediately, claiming he may take time to find his best form, as he was out of game for more than a year. Former Australia inernational made a surprise statement for the world of rugby league by announcing he had signed a deal with Warrington Wolves for the 2021 campaign. Inglis has said he is arriving in the Northern Hemisphere with a point to prove to people, while he also has a burning desire to win the Super League, one of the few things he hasn’t won as a player. However he has called for patience from Warrington fans. Speaking to the Warrington Guardian, former South Sydney Rabbitohs and Queensland centre said: “Lifting the Premiership trophy over there is my drive. But also my drive is to get back to where I was, and leave the game on my terms. “I want to get back into it, I want to prove things to myself, that’s just in my nature, that’s who I am and pretty much how my brain works. I’m a competitive person. I like proving people wrong. “I’ve been playing this sport since I was four years old, I love this game and I think time away has given my body time to heal and I think it’s time to make a comeback. “Who knows what’s going to happen in 10 months, but all my focus now is on getting over there and playing the best footy I can. “It may not happen in the first couple of weeks, as I will have to adjust to the weather, the climate, playing on different surfaces and playing in what will be a whole new team for me. “Don’t expect the Greg Inglis that people saw in the highlights reels in the first couple of weeks that’s for sure, but I promise you that I’ll get back to my very best within that time.” Source- HullLive
