Grealish, Cash, Traore - Aston Villa latest injury updates ahead of Tottenham

Aston Villa are set to face Tottenham on Sunday before the international break begins. Dean Smith's side have picked up a 1-1 draw with Newcastle over the weekend. And ahead of the Spurs' clash here are Villa's latest injury updates.

Jack Grealish

Return date: Tottenham (Sunday). The Villa skipper is reportedly back in training at the club's Bodymoor Heath base having spent the last five matches out with a leg injury. "Jack is a lot better, but you won't see him at Newcastle unfortunately," said Dean Smith. "It hasn't helped that he's been ill this week, which has kept him off for a couple of days."

Bertrand Traore

Return date: Unknown Traore has been ruled out through rib injury and head coach doesn't really know when he'll be back. "I'm not sure how he is yet," Smith said after Newcastle. "He went over billboards by accident and hurt himself and the pain meant he was unable to continue. He's been a big player this season so we'll just see and wait how he is."

Kortney Hause

Return date: Fulham (April 3). Hause has been sidelined with foot injury will be back to grass training next week, as Smith confirmed.

Wesley Moraes

Return date: Unknown Moraes will return this season at some point, as he continues his recovery from knee ligament damage. "Wesley, we'll advance his training and, hopefully, get him into an under-23 game soon because he’s been out for 14, 15 months now," said Villa boss. In the meantime, Matty Cash is fit and firing again and posted training images on social media on Wednesday night.
