D'Angelo Russell was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on February 6, 2020, after having played 33 games for Golden State Warriors. On Friday, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke about the trade with the reporters. “To be perfectly blunt, the fit was questionable when we signed him,” Kerr said. “Nobody questioned that. When you already have Steph and Klay and you add a ball-dominant guard, you can rightfully question the fit.”
