Tim Krul was the hero by saving two penalties as Norwich City beat Tottenham in a shootout after a 1-1 draw.
Following the setback, a clip of Juventus star Giorgio Chellini offering a brutal assessment of Spurs has gone viral again on social media.
Chiellini had just helped Juventus knock Tottenham out of the Champions League in March 2018 when he conducted an interview on live TV.
“It’s the history of Tottenham,” the defender said. “They also create many chances and score many goals but, at the end, they always miss something to arrive at the end [lack something]. We believe in history.”
Chiellini’s comments amused football fans at the time and it’s received the same response after they knocked out of the FA Cup.
