George Foreman ranks hardest punchers in boxing history

One of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history, George Foreman, who was twice heavyweight champion of the world and also an Olympic gold medalist, named his list of hardest punchers in boxing history. Foreman finished his career in 1997 with a professional boxing record of 76-5. He fought many of the top names during his career including Muhammed Ali, Joe Frazier, and Evander Holyfield. The 71-year-old was asked on Twitter who he thought were the three hardest punchers in history and also where he would put himself on the list. He replied: “Joe Louis was the hardest puncher ever; Liston make the cut as well as Lennox Lewis. Mike Tyson. Nothing special about me.” One man who will probably feel he should be on the list is Deontay Wilder. The boxer, who has 41 wins by knockout in his career is the self-declared ‘hardest puncher in boxing history’. Foreman has previously been asked if Wilder was the greatest knockout artist in the history of the sport. He told TMZ: “He’s good but he hasn’t approached Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson. No, he hasn’t approached that kind of recognition yet. No way.” Source: talksport
