Gennady Golovkin eyeing two 2020 bouts including Canelo rematch

Gennady Golovkin claimed the vacant IBF and IBO World Middleweight titles with his win over Ukraine’s Serhiy Derevyanchenko in October and he is now set for a huge year in 2020. Golovkin is set for a busy 2020 and is expected to return to the ring in January or February to face his mandatory, Kamil Szeremeta. Szeremeta’s promoter Andrei Vasilevski said: “We are ready. Kamil Szeremeta is a very ambitious sportsperson. He is dreaming about the fight with such a legend as GGG. It is his main goal.” Eddie Hear, meanwhile, has expressed an interest in holding that bout in Chicago. Hearn has also said that, should Golovkin win, a trilogy fight with Canelo Alvarez could be next. He said: “[Golovkin vs Canelo 3] can be done. He has a mandatory and he wants to get that out of the way, but he also wants the Canelo fight badly, so we have to see what happens. It really should be Gennady Golovkin next, but we’ve got five [guys] and it will be one of those five next and the one after, probably, for Canelo.” Source- talkSport

Haney still wants Lomachenko: “We can get that fight done!”
