Gary Neville names the most important Manchester United trophy he won and it isn't the 1999 Champions League

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes that the club's inaugural Premier League win in 1993 holds more significance in their modern history than their famous Champions League triumph in 1999.

According to the pundit, winning the league after a 26-year wait "unlocked doors" and transformed the club.

Neville emphasizes the pivotal moment of defeating Blackburn Rovers in 1992, which he considers the best night in Manchester United's modern history, as it instilled belief and changed the club forever.

Winning the league not only established stability and confidence within the team but also signaled a shift towards a winning culture that shaped the club's trajectory.

"We won the league for the first time, against Blackburn, that night was the best night in Manchester United modern history, it changed the whole club forever," Neville said, via Sportbible

"People ask me what the most important trophy is, that is the most important trophy, it unlocked the doors. We won the youth cup, and we had belief that we were coming into a machine of a club, we were coming into a dressing room that was stable, confident, winning, and that changed everything."
