Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville thinks the captaincy of Mesut Ozil is just for provoking a response.Ozil has been given armband in the home match against Leicester City. His stunning performance helped Gunners beat Foxes 3-1.However, in his second match as the captain Ozil was substituted against Crystal Palace in the second half and left frustrated because of Unai Emery’s decision.
“Managers are having to make decisions to make people captain to not pacify but force the issue," he told Sky Sports Monday Night Football (via irishmirror.ie).
“Paul Pogba was given the captaincy at the start of the season after a public spat. Same with Ozil at Arsenal. Emery left him out a for a couple of games.
