Gary Neville has compared youngster Kai Havertz to ex Chelsea hero Eden Hazard.
The former Manchester United and England defender thinks Havertz has been improving under Thomas Tuchel, his talent gradually getting like Hazard's.
“I actually think Havertz has gone up a level but he is in third gear. He could go to fourth gear and to fifth gear. He could become an absolutely great player,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“When he really fills out, and he will do, he is already a great runner with the ball, but he will get more confidence, more belief and in a couple of years he could be someone who is absolutely there.”
Neville recalled how the Belgium international improved step by step, claiming that the German is doing exactly the same now.
“Remember what Chelsea did with Eden Hazard. He went from here, to here, to here. I think that’s what Havertz will do.”
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer from Bayer Leverkusen, for a fee of £72million.
