Gary Lineker gives his verdict on Olivier Giroud after another Chelsea goal

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has praised Olivier Giroud, claiming the Chelsea striker is “underrated”. Giroud scored the only goal of the game as Frank Lampard’s side beat Norwich. The Frenchman headed home from Christian Pulisic’s cross for his sixth Premier League goal of the season. Lineker believes not enough credit is given to Giroud, who helped France to World Cup glory in 2018. Taking to Twitter, Lineker wrote: “I’ve always felt that @_OlivierGiroud_ is underrated. Excellent all-round centre-forward’s game. Hold up play, movement in the box, finishing is all top class. Might lack a yard of pace of the greats, but doesn’t get the credit he deserves.”
