Gary Lineker calls for huge Champions League rule change following quarter-finals

Champions League quarter finals first leg is already a history. Tottenham won 1-0 over Manchester City, Liverpool won 2-0 over Porto, while Manchester United lost 1-0 to Barcelona at home. Ajax and Juventus hold a 1-1 draw. After the quarter finals, The Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has again called on UEFA to change the away goals rule in the Champions League. “I don't know about you but I'd love to see an experiment for one season where they get rid of the away goal rule,” he said to the punditry team. (via Mirror) “I just think home legs, first legs, I just think everyone is a little bit cautious. “They've got a fear of giving away an away goal or two and, if you get an away goal it's like, 'woah, that's it'.”
