Garth Crooks believes teams still underestimate just how threatening Virgil van Dijk is.
Liverpool celebrated a 3 - 1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend, with the club defender opening the score for his side in the 8th minute of the match.
“When are teams going to take note?” Crooks wrote for the BBC.
“I’m saying almost on a weekly basis that Virgil van Dijk is the most dangerous player in the box on set pieces but sides are still conceding goals against him.
“His header that put Liverpool one up against Crystal Palace was emphatic.”
Liverpool are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Premier League table behind the leaders Manchester City. Their next opponents will be Leicester City.
