Gareth Southgate won’t swap Harry Kane for any other striker

After Harry Kane’s hat trick in England’s World Cup 6-1 match against Panama manager Gareth Southgate has revealed that he was impressed with Kane’s display and won’t swap him for anyone. Three Lions captain Kane made it five goals in two games as England clinched their place in the last 16 with their biggest ever win at a major tournament. “He’s very confident in his ability to convert chances. As important is the way he presses, holds the ball up, contributes to the overall game, and sacrifices himself for the team. “Lovely we could give people watching at home on a warm afternoon some goals to celebrate. I think they can see what we’re trying to do and the way we’re trying to play, and enjoying our football. You don’t get many opportunities to play like that in a game for England. “I think the players will have gained confidence from not only their own performances but watching the other games. "We talked about taking lessons from the other matches, managing the scorelines and making good decisions. They can see they’re doing a lot of things right.” England have now the same points as Belgium, but they are top because they have had one less yellow card.
