My priority is always the are and wellbeing for all of my players - all of y player. Then you have a decision to make as a player. Then you need to decided if anything further needs to be done. "That was my decision over Raheem. Whether that needs to be public, it would have been public on Wednesday of Thursday. I’d rather deal with it now." On Gomez's scratch “I’m not prepared to go into detail. There is enough conjecture and opinion and talk out there – we don’t need to add to that. I’ve said what I think needs to be said but we have to keep as much as we can between ourselves.” On speaking to Gomez and Sterling "It was crucial to me that everyone in the group is ready to move forward. That was absolutely clear. That is why everybody is still in the camp And that is why we are working together to beat Montenegro. "All of the players are talking and communicating today." On why he made the decision “I have discussions with all my staff and the leadership group. But ultimately I am the manager and I make the decision. “Every player has had an opportunity to speak to me if they want to. My view is that everybody wanted to move forward.”

On dealing with leaked information

“In my view, the group are moving forward. There seems to be all sorts of information being passed form all different areas. Team getting out, information getting out, there seems to be so much information in the background. “Every player has had an opportunity to speak to me if they want to, and my view is that the group is ready to move forwards.” source - Mirror
