Gareth Southgate speaks out on Trent Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool star is left out of England squad

  Gareth Southgate announced the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland later this month. Southgate has left Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the squad. Speaking on the defender, the England boss said: "I don't think he's played at the level he's been at during the last few years. He’s a big talent and I’m sure he will play a big role for England in the future.”
