Gareth Southgate has provided a fitness update on Chelsea's Mason Mount as the player was absent from the rest of the group for England’s initial warm-up on Tuesday. And instead the Blues star did gym work with the medical and performance team.
England are preparing to face Poland in the World Cup Qualifiers on Wednesday. Mount has played in the previous two games of the Three Lions and scored in one.
"He didn’t warm up with the rest of the team but he did the rest of the session after," Southgate told reporters when asked about Mount’s fitness.
"He should be fine."
The England head coach added: "They’re all available as far as we’re concerned.
"I think we’ve managed the team not only through the matches but through the training sessions.
"We’ve been very cautious with the load that the players have had. We’ve got to balance that freshness tomorrow but we were very happy with the performance the other day, of course.
"I think around Europe most countries are taking similar slants on the games so we’ve got to look at the best team to win this game and we are well prepared for it."
